How We Work

Certification is the by-product.

Most ISO consultants help companies get certified. MOCG helps organizations improve how they operate — quality, environmental, and health & safety alike — using the standard as the framework, not the finish line. When the system is right, the certificate follows on its own.

What We Believe

Nine convictions, thirty years of evidence

Every engagement, audit report and training we deliver reinforces these. They're not slogans — they're how the work gets done.

ISO should improve the business

If it doesn't, it's being implemented wrong. Full stop.

Documentation is not the product

Better management is. The binder is just where it's written down.

The certification audit should be your easiest audit

It simply confirms a system that already works.

Internal audits should improve performance

Not count signatures. An audit that finds nothing useful wasn't an audit.

Corrective actions should solve problems

Not satisfy auditors. If the problem comes back, it wasn't corrected.

Leadership owns the management system

Quality, environmental, or health & safety — the manager stewards it, leadership owns it. An auditor can tell the difference in one interview.

The best systems become nearly invisible

Because they match how your people already work.

Certification bodies are partners

And when they stop acting like partners, our clients deserve better — we've moved clients to better CBs and saved them money doing it.

Leadership cannot steer what it cannot see

Every MOCG deliverable opens with a picture, not a wall of text.

What We Don't Do

Just as important as what we do

  • We do not sell templates — your procedures should describe how you succeed
  • We do not equate documentation with compliance
  • We do not write procedures nobody will follow
  • We do not recommend work to justify fees
  • We do not report a nonconformance we can't tie to a clause
  • We do not create dependence — we transfer knowledge until your team doesn't need us for the everyday
  • We do not publish a number we cannot prove

Why It Looks Different

Show, don't tell

The industry norm is a dense narrative report nobody above the department that wrote it ever reads. MOCG deliverables open with a one-page dashboard: findings classified and color-coded, process health rated, objectives tracked against targets, certification readiness stated in plain business language.

A gap analysis rates every clause of your standard — green, yellow, red. A documentation project runs on a clause-mapped timeline where every required document is a row, every week is a column, and the plan ends at a confirmed registration audit date.

It's a philosophy as much as a format: your executives should absorb where the system stands in ninety seconds, not ninety pages.

The Consultants

Senior only — matched to your standard, your industry, your region

MOCG is a team of senior consultants working from hubs in nine states, each practicing since the mid-1990s. Your project is matched to the consultant whose specialty fits — medical device, aerospace, environmental, health & safety, general manufacturing — and that consultant stays with you for the life of the relationship. No junior staff, no handoffs, no bait-and-switch.

Lindsay has practiced management systems consulting — quality, environmental, and health & safety — continuously since the mid-1990s — formative years at a UK consultancy where the process approach was born, then a Big 6 accounting and consulting firm serving demanding corporate clients, and for the past two decades leading MOCG's practice.

She has walked clients through every revision of ISO 9001 since 1994, and leads engagements across ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 — on production floors and in inspection areas, not from a home office. Her auditing lineage traces to BS5750, the British standard that predated ISO 9001 itself.

Every MOCG engagement runs the same way: the senior consultant assigned to your project is the one who shows up on-site, every visit, for as long as the relationship runs. Our clients keep us for more than a decade on average — that's the model working.
